Throw in Ugins Nexus for fun because we can convoke it. Casting both will pop the first and give us a free turn. Ensnare Soul can turn the remaining one into a creature that your opponent won't want to kill.

Jeskai Ascendancy will let us convoke without opening ourselves to an attack (or we could also attack after convokiing). Also, we can repeatedly convoke.
