At the end of 2015 there was a tournament named the "Power Nine Challenge" on MTGO. The tournament was taken down by a Dredge deck, which if anyone is unfamiliar with, will destroy you if you are unprepared. Dredge wasn't the most played in the tournament, but the fact that it won shows it's always power to the format. The deck can be fairly scary, with it being very consistent, hard to interact with and that it's very different from a bunch of decks.
