Intro:
This is probably my strongest deck and is essentially banned in my friend group. It has been beaten when focused by destroy and counter spells but it still puts up an amazing fight and if it is not focused early on by destroy or counter spells, it'll get that W in 5 turns or less with regularity. I have actually not really worked on this deck since making it, which makes it unique as far as my decks go, so any ideas for improving it would be very welcome.
Winning:
It is in the nature of Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice to win. Light-Paws is a 2 cost commander, which means it can come out turn 2 at the latest, unless you decided to go for a hand with no lands or something. This is, at its heart, a voltron deck and Light-Paws' ability to tutor for auras makes it very good at getting suited up in auras quickly. The main idea is to cast 2 auras and quickly get to 4 using Light Paws' ability and then swing with a 21+ powered, flying commander. The combo for this is getting one of the "Aura Flying" cards, one of the "Aura DoubleStrike", one of the "Aura SwapATK&DEF" cards, and then Stoneskin. All together this will make your commander hard to block and swinging for lethal. I have gotten it as quickly as turn 3 and as late as turn 6, barring any interference from other players. There are several cards in each of those categories in the case a spell gets countered or destroyed, with the exception of Stoneskin. Don't let Stoneskin die. It's not over if it does, but it'll add a few turns to the game.
Mana:
This deck has a relatively high land count (38). Because of Light Paws' tutor like ability, I put more land in the deck so that you could be sure to have enough mana for whatever you need to cast. The deck contains only 2 mana rocks (Sol Ring & Mana Crypt), and has 5 cards which reduce the cost of all white spells (Pearl Medallion) or aura spells (Transcendent Envoy).
Draw/Search:
The deck has no real draw cards, but contains 5 tutors to help search for auras. The thought is you will use Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice to tutor for whatever you need, so rather than add cards to let you draw, the deck is mostly auras to use with Light-Paws.
Lost a Combo Piece?:
Lose a combo piece? Feeling all sad and down about it? Never fear! You have 5 cards that will return aura(s) from the GY, in the case you lose a combo piece. Examples: Nomad Mythmaker & Auramancer
Control:
Because this deck is so reliant on your commander it also has a fair amount of control cards. These cards range from counters (Dawn Charm), destroy cards (Fateful Absence), protection auras (Gift of Immortality), and cards to mess with your opponents (Curse of Exhaustion).
