Standard Aggro Combo Tokens UR (Izzet)

orionwinterfire

Sideboard

The combo, best case:

1- Monastery Swiftspear

2- Dragon Tempest

3- Hordeling Outburst

4- Battlefield Thaumaturge Descent of the Dragons for 25 direct damage.

But who needs to combo? Monastery Swiftspear is a beast! It and Goblin Rabblemaster apply early pressure and can win games almost single-handledly.

And since we have the combo in the deck, we aren't counting on swarming to victory- so we can hold token-making spells until we've seen some hate.

I have to say that having the flexibility to play aggro or combo with the same deck is a lot of fun.

Any advice, comments, and +1's appreciated!

2-0 vs Mardu mostly-warriors. I actually used Descent of the Dragons on my opponent's 2x Butcher of the Horde along with 4 of my weenies.

2-0 vs mono white devotion

1-2 vs Jeskai tokens. Close match. Need Arc Lightning in side.

2-1 vs RDW.

2-1 vs R/W tokens.

Made the cut at 4-1.

2-0 vs the same RDW deck from earlier.

2-1 vs another R/W token deck.

And finally 1-2 vs the first R/W token deck from the last round before the cut in a heartbreakingly close match.
