This is my list for a fun, hopefully pretty playable modern deck. I always try and play something a little different because I am a hipster. I have most of the land, so its a really cheap list for me personally.
Soulflayer may be Sultai, but he feels more at home in Jund to me. I fell in love the moment I saw him, I love delve and his ability is both flavorful and fun. Its like getting to design your own creature! Very mad-science-y.
The idea should be obvious: I use Grisly Salvage, Commune with the Gods and Faithless Looting to simultaneously fill my graveyard for delving and dig for a Flayer. Faithless Looting is especially important because it lets me discard any creatures I may have in hand.
Normally I play very control oriented decks, but I wanted a change of pace. Perhaps I have gone too far, I don't really carry any answers to what my opponent may be doing. However, a 3rd turn soulflayer seems pretty common.
I don't expect to be winning any tournaments but I think it looks alright. If anyone has any suggestions I am open.
I am currently debating the merits of Ghor-Clan Rampager Vs Lotleth Troll. Dark Deal and
Burning Inquiry
are being looked into because nothing is worse than star ting with multiple good creatures in your hand and I just want to see the world burn.
