Sideboard

The battlefield is a place filled with the chaos of life and death. Worthy combatants must fight with their very lives. This deck brings this undeniable fact to the forefront of the duel. My own life and my opponents are mere play things.

The goal is to give life to myself to give my creatures power to punish their foes. If the opponent wishes to destroy them then they must pay to keep them that way.

Let's break it down shall we.

Creatures

Nyx-Fleece Ram

This bad boy is by far my favorite. By itself it is hardly a threat to anyone. But couple it with a few of the others in this deck and you suddenly have a work sheep capable of extraordinary things. I love watching my adversary scratch his head as he/she wonders if that should be the target of removal spells.

Brain Maggot

This guy is pretty awesome. Look at the hand and exile is pretty sweet. He triggers Underworld Coinsmith and is a double hitter if Athreos, God of Passage is on the field.

Underworld Coinsmith

This guy and The Ram are what make this deck work. The majority of spells are enchantments so there are plenty of triggers for him and his second ability has won me more games then one would think.

Ajani's Pridemate

May as well put all that life gain to work. Counters every time I gain life and with all the potential sources this guy gets big fast.

Herald of Torment

This guy is a staple. His bestow creates deception allowing me to turn the seemingly weak and useless Ram into a crazed flying enchantment sheep from Hell.

Athreos, God of Passage

I love his effect. My meta is very oriented on destroying. Cards like End Hostilities and Hero's Downfall are mainboarded in practically every deck I see. This guy punishes them for playing such cards against me or allows me to replay a Brain Maggot or two.

Wall of Limbs

This one is far more effective then I thought he would be. With Athreos on the field and all the life gain he finishes the game quickly.

Spells

Read the Bones

Deck cycling to find missing pieces for the win.

Hero's Downfall

Field Control

Banishing Light

More Field Control

Whip of Erebos

More lifegain and the ability to bring stuff back from the grave. Sweet :)

This deck is far from perfect. Please offer suggestions for improvement or give a plus 1.

Updates Add

Had an eventful night. I noticed a little lack in board control even with Hero's Downfall and Banishing Light so I have added Brain Maggot moving Eidolon of Countless Battles to the sideboard. I also took syncronym's advice and switched Bile Blight for Drown in Sorrow. It was far to effect against the rampaging Mardu Aggro I see at the shop :)
