At first glace this deck looks like a life gaining token deck and yes it can be that however, you make a bunch of tokens with Vizkopa Guildmage and Blood Artist on the field. Pay for the guildmage's second ability, then Killing Wave and keep nothing. On top of what your opponent/s choose to pay for and keep they will also lose life equal to the number of creatures that die since they all leave the battlefield at the same time an Blood Artist sees it and the guildmage plays off his gain life ability. Then someone of your choice is going to lose that much life again due to Blood Artist
