Finally I’ve found a mono white Commander that I don’t immediately deviate to equipment for! Abdel also offers my old Brago list an opportunity to be reborn into something sleeker and less Stasis riddled.

White has got quite good recently which may be the underlying lynchpin in this list’s viability, lots of cantrip permanents printed in the last few sets that allow Abdel shenanigans to not only produce a bunch of tokens like white typically does but also keep up on card advantage, it’s not often you put reliquary tower in a monoW deck and legitimately need it.

I’ll be messing with the list a bunch as I test it, it’s just full of generically good stuff and blink synergies, looks like a lot of fun on paper, hoping it’s not too much faff in person, no one like Brago turns and I don’t want another boogie man Commander.

There are options for splashing other colours using backgrounds too, I originally had Cultist so Lurrus and Dramatic Finale could fit and stay “mono”. Same is true for Yorion with Candlekeep but then we’re adding islands for Displacer kitten and we’re going back towards a Brago list so it sticks as is for now but I like the options backgrounds can provide.
