This deck was originally based around the detain mechanic, but it's since expanded into control as well.

Card Breakdown:

AEtherling - Probably the most important card in the deck. Great wincon. I originally had Angel of Serenity, but I don't think it's as good. If anyone has thoughts about which one would be better for this deck, i'll consider anything.

Angel of Serenity - Only have of these, as I want to keep the CMC low. But it's a such a great card for the deck.

Detain -

Azorius Arrester - Great 2 cost detain. Really want that out early game.

Azorius Justiciar - 4 cost for 2 detain. Not crazy about it being just a 2/2 though.

Inaction Injunction - Detain and Draw

Lavinia of the Tenth - I don't know if this will stay in there or not. I really like it, but it's almost too high cost. Maybe. Not sure.

Lyev Skyknight - Great 3/1 flying detain

New Prahv Guildmage - Love being able to give things flying for 2 cost. And when I have nothing else to use lands on, another detain is nice.

Martial Law - 4 cost detain target thing every turn. It might be outclassed by some of the other enchantments in the deck, but it's staying in there for now.

Lyev Decree - 2 cost 2 detain is always good.

Control -

Detention Sphere and Grasp of Fate to keep the board clear.

Azorius Charm - Multiple purpose card that works well is just about any situation.

Counterspell - Need some counter in here. Can't keep everything controlled or detained, so I might as counter it.

Render Silent - Great counter spell

Supreme Verdict - Because if it's all going to shit, might as well nuke the field.

Other -

Ephemerate - Supports the detain mechanic well.

Sphinx's Revelation - Draw. Gain life. It's a good time.
