The basic idea behind this deck is simple play out artifacts that cantrip(Ichor Wellspring,
Prophetic Prism
) in order to generate card advantage. Disrupt the opponent with cheap red removal and close the game out with flyers and goblins. The more recent builds of Kuldotha Boros have been more token based in order to maximize the power of
Rally the Peasants
.
UPDATED**
In depth:
Thraben Inspector: Newest addition to my build. Provides card advantage an is completely able to get in for damage, even through it only has 1 power. Drawing a card is very powerful, 4 - of.
// REMOVED
Squadron Hawk
:Card advantage, holds a Bonesplitter very well and buys time for us
Glint Hawk
: The superior hawk(sorry
Squadron Hawk
) it is part of the main decks engine, by returning cheap artifacts to our hand we can continue to cantrip and churn through our deck, plus a 2/2 flyer isn't shabby
Kor Skyfisher
: an amazing midrange creature 2/3 flyer is great against the field and his ability to abuse the ETB abilities of both our artifacts and our lands is vital to our strategy.
Ichor Wellspring: Draws us a card, best artifact to sacrifice to kuldoltha rebirth and return to our hand with
Glint Hawk
and
Kor Skyfisher
Prophetic Prism
: Draws a card, artifact ot sacrifice to kuldoltha rebirth in a pinch, and fixes our mana
// REMOVED
Mycosynth Wellspring
: 5th Ichor Wellspring, fixes mana, sacrifice fodder P.S. sacrifice this as quickly as possible because you don't want to end up in a situation where you can't fetch anything//Removed because card is bad (Lol)
// REMOVED Bonesplitter:Helps our Dorky flyers close out a game much quicker//Removed for Thraben Inspector
Kuldotha Rebirth
: Great card when sacrificing a Wellspring for value, still pretty good otherwise, 3 1/1 is fairly hard to deal with unless the opponent is playing main deck
Echoing Decay
or the like.
Removal
Journey to Nowhere:White's best removal spell can handle creatures that our burn based removal can't
Galvanic Blast: Super flexible. Efficient removal spell first, burn spell second, will almost always be doing four damage in this deck.
Lightning Bolt: What red deck doesn't run Lightning Bolt? But in all honesty it seems to be the weakest card in the deck at times.
// REMOVED Firebolt: Really like this as a 1-of because in the situations where it is good it is a straight up two-for-one but since it only does 2 damage it doesn't handle every threat
// REMOVED Oblivion Ring: 3 mana catch all answer for any nonland permanent. super flexible but can't run to many because it costs 3 mana.
Lands
Wind-Scarred Crag: Life-gain is great, color fixing is great and we aren't looking to play our one drops on turn one anyway so automatic 4-of
Kabira Crossroads:Lifegain is really great
Ancient Den
: We want a critical mass of artifacts for Galvanic Blast and to a lesser extent
Glint Hawk
. Automatic 4-of.
Great Furnace: Allows for turn-one kuldoltha rebirth!!!(not a recommended play, even though I've done it XP) but is in the deck for the same reason as
Ancient Den
taps for mana and is an artifact.
Mountain&Plains: Some basics are necessary so card like
Dust to Dust
& Ancient Grudge can't Stone Rain us out of the game plus can be fetched with
Mycosynth Wellspring
Sideboard
Orim's Thunder
: Affintiy, to a lesser extent boggles and infect
Kor Sanctifiers
: Affinity, and Tron to a lesser extent
Circle of Protection: Red
: Burn
Circle of Protection: Green
: Infect, Stompy
Molten Rain:Tron,Acid Trip,UB Control
Relic of Progenitus:UB Control,
Tortured Existence
,Madness,DElver
Celestial Flare
:Boggles
Electrickery
:Tokens,Aggro,Goblins
