My first attempt at a druid deck based around Gilt-Leaf Archdruid. This deck aims to get to seven druids as quickly as possible and then repeatedly steal the opponents lands locking them out of the game. 7 Druids can be assembled as fast as turn 4 with the right draws (usually involving Elvish Archdruid.)
Card overview:
Arbor Elf,Boreal Druid,Elvish Mystic,Llanowar Elves: All there cards have the same purpose get to 3 mana on turn two and then 5+ turn 3. These cards are also importantly all druids meaning they draw cards off of Gilt-Leaf Archdruid and can tap to steal lands.
Gilt-Leaf Archdruid: This decks build around card, the druid is incredibly fragile and must be played carefully since it's the decks win-con. The card however is incredibly powerful and becomes a recurring Armageddon with upside.
Elvish Harbinger,Chord of Calling: These generally serve as 8 additional copies of Gilt-Leaf Archdruid making this one of the most resilient combos possible with 12 of one combo piece and almost every other card contributes in someway.
Elvish Archdruid,Devoted Druid: The two big mana druids in the deck, these provide ridiculous amounts of mana to the deck making any card feasible to play. The arch druid is often capable of producing 5+ mana a turn even on turn 3 allowing you to dump your entire hand.
Genesis Wave: The largest mana sink imaginable. This card ends the game if cast for 10+ which is fairly easy to do since almost every permanent in the deck produces mana. I've never not taken all my opponents lands after casting a sizable Genesis Wave and since the Gilt-Leaf Archdruid ability doesn't care when the druids entered it can be used immediately.
Lastly the part of the deck I need help with Ezuri, Renegade Leader: I'm looking for other "silver-bullets" that will make a match-up significantly easier if they are found. Ezuri allows the deck to avoid removal by regenerating all of the elves I control often using the mana they themselves produce.
I'd love suggestions and I'm not opposed to splashing other colors in but I was hoping to keep the deck under 100 tix for an upcoming modern tournament with a price limitation. Thanks for reading <3
