Old deck that mixed the synergy of Flamekin Harbinger + Nova Chaser along with the nice double up on Balefire Liege with all the 2 color cards in the deck. Lastly, added Brion Stoutarm as a repeatable fling. Fun Deck. Key card combos are:
Flamekin Harbinger + Nova Chaser: Cast the chaser targeting the harbinger, then if the chaser dies, (which it will), go get another one when the harbinger comes back into play. And because the chaser is going to die, there is;
Brion Stoutarm + Nova Chaser: Hopefully following a successful attack with the Nova Chaser and if not, can always be performed in response to something. With a Chaser in play, Brion reads: " , tap, Shoot you for 10 and I gain 10!" Pretty awesome at instant speed. Also, Brion Stoutarm + Nova Chaser + Soul's Fire is potentially 30 pts of damage and 10 pts of lifegain off a successful attack. Attack with chaser, do damage, cast Soul's Fire for 10 more points, then throw the chaser at something with Brion for 10 more with lifegain on it.
Nova Chaser + Soul's Fire: By itself is great, 10 points for 3 mana is even more efficient than Lightning Bolt. Additionally you could instead do Nova Chaser + Soul's Grace to gain 10 lives. Both of the Souls cards are at instant speed making them amazing tricks to surprise your opponent with.
Brion Stoutarm + Thunderblust: Another good fling target is the Thunderblust. It lets you force giving it trample or just kills your opponent flinging for 6 or 7. Persist lets you use it twice before losing it.
Thunderblust + Soul's Fire or Thunderblust + Soul's Grace: Not quite as much as the Nova Chaser in it's place but a good target for these 2 instants nonetheless.
Incandescent Soulstoke + Nova Chaser or Incandescent Soulstoke + Thunderblust or Incandescent Soulstoke + Spitemare: The ability to drop an elemental into play at instant speed can be a game-changing play or a game-saving play. The soulstoke pumps all your elementals and keeps a nice trick up it's sleeve.
Balefire Liege + Brion Stoutarm: With the Liege in play, Brion is a 6/6 lifelink creature for 4 mana with an amazing activated ability. Not too shabby.
Balefire Liege + Lightning Helix: Makes the helix a monster damage/lifegain swing for 2 mana.
Balefire Liege + Lightning Helix + Heat Shimmer: make a copy of your liege and now the helix does 9 pts of damage/lifegain. Which will finish a game usually when it happens.
Nova Chaser + Heat Shimmer: This can be a giant blow to your opponent regardless of the game state.
Incandescent Soulstoke + Smokebraider: With both of these in play you have mana-less instant speed creature plays or various combinations of plays that cost little to no mana . Very strong core of this deck.
