Maybeboard

Trying to fit in: Puppeteer Clique

Possible cuts: Damnation, Massacre Girl, Yahenni, Undying Partisan

Possible swaps: Twilight's Call for Command the Dreadhorde

Gameplay Notes: For Cavern it is typically better to name Shaman than Human (only a few other humans in the deck; Hermit Druid, Eternal Witness, Disciple of Bolas, and Yavimaya Elder) whereas there are quite a lot of Shamans (Oracle of Mul Daya, World Shaper, Eternal Witness, Fauna Shaman, Reclamation Sage, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Savra, Mazirek, and Woodfall Primus). Keep in mind that Mikaeus does not give undying to the aforementioned humans (including your commander).

COMBOS

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed+Woodfall Primus OR Puppeteer Clique + sac outlet

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed gives your persist creatures undying which means when they die you can choose to either persist or undie, then when it dies again you alternate. This essentially means the persist creatures cannot die. Using a sac outlet like Carrion Feeder or Greater Good, you can sacrifice the persist creatures over and over to get value out of their etb effects while simultaneously getting a huge Carrion Feeder or drawing cards off of Greater Good. If you go down the Greater Good route then Volrath's Stronghold can make sure you don't deck yourself on accident.

Eternal Witness+Living Death + creature removal effect

Casting Living Death with an Eternal Witness in the graveyard allows you to reanimate the Eternal Witness in order to bring back Living Death from your graveyard to your hand. Then with any death effect (Fleshbag Marauder, Carrion Feeder, Phyrexian Tower, Shriekmaw, etc) you kill your own Eternal Witness. Then next turn you can cast the Living Death which will reanimate the Eternal Witness again and then you can repeat the process over and over. What is the point of using Living Death turn after turn? My deck has a ton of etb effect along with some death effects which can be used over and over again with Living Death for major value. However be careful in case your opponent has any etb effects from their creatures otherwise you might be netting them value.

Played a 1 vs 1 match (non-french rules) against a Sheoldred, Whispering One deck. Here are some of the highlights of the match:

He got to 56 life through attacking with Wurmcoil Engine and bringing it back after death and he brought me to 12. He managed to get an It That Betrays in the yard through Corpse Connoisseur and then he casted Living Deathfoil. I killed it with Putrefy. Then he got It That Betrays back with Animate Dead and I tutored for Shriekmaw with my Survival of the Fittest and used it's evoke cost to kill it. He played Necromancy on It That Betrays and I tutored for Phyrexian Delver with Survival of the Fittest and then brought back the Shriekmaw to kill it once again. (at this point I was at 6 life)

Next he cast Reanimate targeting It That Betrays and I had nothing to do. He attacked with It That Betrays and I sacrificed my Survival of the Fittest and Witchbane Orb. Next turn I used Sylvan Library to draw a Dread Return which was used on Eternal Witness to bring back Putrefy to kill It That Betrays again. At this point I had Crucible of Worlds in play so I kept using Strip Mine to lower his land count. Eventually I attacked with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord enough times to kill him with commander damage.
