Burn deck i play with friends.
I know Sac lands (Arid Mesa-Scalding Tarn-Wooded Foothills-Bloodstained Mire) would be beneficial for this deck to lower the chance of dead land draws after my 3rd, however they are expensive and I am not rich. I have opted to go for more card draw instead. Grim Lavamancer has less fuel and Searing Blaze is not as strong with out them either.
Yes I want 4 Goblin Guide but don't have them nor willing to spend $$ on them at this time.
Also a fan of Vexing Devil but mine are on loan and have been before this deck was built so have yet to see how they do. They will be what I use instead of Goblin Guide.
I have noticed a few burn decks running Eidolon of the Great Revel / Pyrostatic Pillar I am just not overly fond of the damage I would also take. It seems to be geared to counter Storm and combo decks which I dont see a ton of in my group.
I have also seen Grim Lavamancer be a pretty common burn deck creature but in playing him I didnt find him being as fun to play as the Guttersnipe is for me. As time goes on he is still a maybe for me though.
Some people like to run Flame Rift I however enjoy Flamebreak better because it helps keep the board a bit more manageable with overly quick aggressive decks. Doesn't kill those damn faeries though...
I do have 4 Ankh of Mishra coming in and I think I am going to play them instead of Guttersnipe .. I think the mental stress of each land they want to drop after turn 2 dealing 2 damage to them and 5 damage if its a sac land might see me more wins ...will see how that goes.
My maybe board has stuff in there I might try / try again and stuff I might swap for other things depending on how the mana curve is doing over all in games I play.
Sideboard is just where I put MAYBES if I build a sideboard for this deck
I have found that against my buddy who runs a life gain deck switching Magma Jet for Skullcrack is just so much fun. I tried playing Sulfuric Vortex but then he wouldn't play me. :D
