Turning Tainted Remedy from sideboard hate to win condition.

This is essentially a budget control deck meant to use life-gain spells for more nefarious purposes. The object is to get a Tainted Remedy on the field and then start killing with cards that have no business killing opponents.

The biggest bang for you buck, so to speak, are Rest for the Weary and Life Burst . Rest with the Landfall trigger is 8 to the dome once the deck is online. Life Burst works best once you've gotten a couple in the graveyard. Directing them to yourself first before throwing subsequent copies at your opponent helps stabilize your own life total, which is constantly under assault from both sides.

A huge chunk of the deck is used to find the Remedy, since this deck literally does not work without it. Read the Bones and Night's Whisper dig for it. Dimir Machinations are basically Remedy #5-8 with their transmute ability, though simply casting them can sometimes be relevant.

For creature removal, we run Condemn and Devour Flesh. It's best to wait to use them until you land the win condition, but you can still use them before if necessary.

The only creatures are Wall of Shards to gum up attackers for a good long while. Don't worry about the upkeep trigger; by the time you get the Remedy out, any incidental life gain you granted your opponent is quickly swept away.

Oblivion Ring for pesky noncreature permanents.

Landbase is cheap and rarely dissapoints, though you can modify it to taste.
