Roon of the Hidden Realm

Flicker deck, creature toolbox control + value build.

Sideboard is alternative cards that I own/will buy that seem good that are in budget and I want to test.

Maybeboard is cards that would be great but are either straight up out of budget or not worth their price in my current budget (IMO).

Top Upgrade Goals: 1. Glen Elendra Archmage 2. Privileged Position

Chopping block

Cards considering for cuts, no particular order

Need to cut 4 more to get to 100.

• Faith's Reward Blowout when it works, but often a dead card. 4 mana is a lot to keep up on the chance of a board wipe, and its also a lot to pay on top of one of my own wipes.

• Darksteel Mutation Semi permanent removal for troublesome commanders/creatures, Brago and Vensor can flicker to change targets, and Sun Titan can get from graveyard. Sorcery speed and yet to impress.

• Rewind Lots of mana to keep up for a "free" counter, but with abilities to spend it on its not too bad. Would only remove for another counter, not straight cut.

• Mirari's Wake Incredible effect, potentially too late in game for mana ramp to be worth? Also high value target, destroyed often.

• Strionic Resonator Works with 50% of the deck, cost is low. High value target, destroyed often. Mostly copies 1/2 effects then dies.

• Wall of Blossoms not weak, but considering swapping for Sea Gate Oracle

• Sphinx of Uthuun Probably too expensive, but effect and body are both incredible.

• Peregrine Drake very strong card. Possibly too strong with Deadeye Navigator, gives infinite mana, and therefore infinite flickers. With the good few tutors in the deck (toolbox needs them) can see these two being the picks all too often. Unsure if fun.

• Ephara, God of the Polis works best when engine is online, may be win-more. Very hard to remove and low cost, and even without engine is still producing some value. Also potentially great body if devotion is up (again win-more).

• Djinn of Infinite Deceits Incredibly slow, 6 mana does nothing when it comes in, requires one turn and a flicker to have best value, and is useless against commanders and quite a few problem creatures. But effect is so fun I kinda wanna keep it. Plus great blocker and political card.

• Rhystic Study Big target, kinda annoying to play. Would replace with more draw.

• Conjurer's Closet Big target, often 5 mana to flicker once. But free flickers are nice.

• Deadwood Treefolk Not cut, but considering swapping for Greenwarden of Murasa. Greenwarden only gets 1 card on flicker, to Deadwood's 2, but can be any card.
