The Promised End

Modern Control RBW (Mardu)

This is the rundown of my current Nahiri deck its explanation and reasoning behind each card.

Nahiri, the Harbinger: A great finisher and overall the reason this deck is called The Promised End. I've learned that you shouldn't just try to spam her +2 all the time and once you have her down the real grind starts you shouldn't focus on trying to win as quickly as possible with the deck you should just try to out resource your opponent.

Thalia, Heretic Cathar: This card is great, unlike her younger sister, she synergies well with Nahiri since your opponents creatures come in tapped which allows Nahiri to exile the creature instantly.

Day of Judgment: General board wipe you could run damnation or Wrath but regardless I'm running two since its just a generally good two for one.

Crackling Doom: This card is just overall good non-targeting removal it hits the most problematic creature and brings them down for the OTK Emrakul.

Night's Whisper: This card is just intended for cheap card draw I have thought of running either wall of omens or phyrexian arena; wall of omens only cantrips and I prefer to draw two rather than one and phyrexian arena seems too slow. Any better alternatives would be appreciated.

Settle the Wreckage: This card is theoretically great but I just put this card in and I haven't played with the card but it seems like a great card to play against in decks with more resilient creatures (like spirits).

Lingering Souls: This card is technically another win condition but usually just a way to protect the Nahiri while she's getting closer to her ultimate.
