I like Sultai. I especially like mana efficiency. Originally this was Sultai Delver, later it was Delverless Delver, then it felt like blue Jund. Now i'm back to Delvers with a little more top end.
I opted for the delver to try to get on the board fast. I've eschewed the Grim Flayers for the time being but I might need more solid threats after some tweaking. Right now its Delver, some snaps, and some other "delvers" (hah). A single copy of Kalitas is hopefully enough top end to finish the brew. (By the way, I realize I should probably just be running Death's Shadow, but I wanted to do it differently.)
Along with Kalitas I'm adding a 2-3 cryptic command, and 4 planeswalkers. 2 Liliana, the last hope. Because of the budget. But also because they seem relevant in multiple matchups. An Ob Nixilis Reignited as the absolute top end. And Jace Architect of thought to give relevant card advantage.
Sultai Charm is also in the deck because I do not currently have a maelstrom pulse and i like the versatility.
Otherwise the rest of the deck in true delver form is cantrips, discard over counters(might change in future), and removal.
As far as the sideboard is concerned I believe I'm going to take 3 Surgical Extractions in it with me. I would really like to surgical someones deck to ribbons out of the sideboard. Even though I may be chasing a pipe dream. Other than that I think i'd be looking at a couple sweepers. Maybe in the form of Engineered explosives and languishes. Some bounce seems beneficial as well as some land hate. Either something to repeat ghost quarters if i can fit them in or spreading seas. Idk yet. Suggestions welcome lol.
