I'm bringing back Mono White Aggro! This deck got me second place in an M15 play-a-set tournament and one me one of each card in M15 (first place was a play set of each card).

I played 7 games and ended up 5-2 here is a breakdown of the decks I played:

Game 1: BUG Friends - Won 2-1

Game 2: Junk Enchantments - Won 2-0

Game 3: Mono Black Devotion - Lost 0-2

Game 4: R/G Monsters - Won 2-0

Game 5: Naya Friends - Won 2-1

Game 6: B/W Aggro - Won 2-0

Game 7: Mono Green Aggro - Lost 1-2

So just in that, this deck handles itself very well against a variety of decks. I've learned that it becomes a luck draw game when going up against mono colored and is usually fast enough to get board presence if not win the game before multi-color decks can start doing anything.

Starting with the main deck, let's look at the creatures and then go into the other cards:

Boros Elite - This is one of the heavy hitters in the deck. Its not impressive by itself but to have one swinging for 3 on turn three with two other creatures adds early game pressure.

Soldier of the Pantheon - Another one drop that helps against multicolor, adding early game pressure and a little sustain.

Hopeful Eidolon - This is one of the bread and butter cards of the deck because not only does it have lifelink for sustainability but it also procs Ethereal Armor as an enchantment creature. Strap two of those on and who wouldn't want to be swinging for 7 lifelink on turn 2?

Precinct Captain - A solid 2/2 for 2 with first strike that creates more creatures. Great especially if you enchant him with Eidolon of Countless Battles as he only gets bigger with every swing.

Hero of Iroas - Another bread and butter card. Allows you to bestow Hopeful Eidolon and Eidolon of Countless Battles for one less for each one on the field and cast Gift of Orzhova for 2 AND has heroic.

Imposing Sovereign - A staple in white weenies for control of the board, allows for no blockers when your opponent summons creatures. Will be replaced with Blind Obedience once M14 rotates out.

Eidolon of Countless Battles - This is the top dog when it comes to beating someone in the face. X/X where X is the number of creatures and auras you control. Already a 4/4 for three with only 1 Ethereal Armor and no other creatures.

Ethereal Armor - the MVP of the deck. There were a few times that all it took was one of these for me to turn the tables. Scales ridiculously fast and can pump up a 1/1 to a 7/7 in one turn.

Brave the Elements - this card can be used both defensively and offensively. Obviously used if they are trying to get rid of a creature or if you are blocking but can also be used to 'seal the deal'. Their entire board is covered in big green monsters? no problem! For just one manna, all of your creatures are now pro-green and you can swing for win.

Gift of Orzhova - another great enchantment that procs Eidolon of Countless Battles and ethereal armor. A good response to flying or to get over their big creatures and also gives a lot of sustain.

Banishing Light - standard removal to deal with big threats and plainswalkers. It is also an enchantment so it gives Ethereal Armor that extra kick.

Ajani, Caller of the Pride - This card is a tech that was almost always sided out after game 1 but provides good utility in the first game. Used mainly for his -3 ability to for that extra punch on a turn 3 drop.

Another reason why this deck was so successful was because I was able to prepare my sideboard for pretty much any situation. While most of the other opponents weren't expecting mono white to show up, it gave me a bit of advantage:

Celestial Flare - My big answer to cards like Stormbreath Dragon and Blood Baron of Vizkopa and other things that may be pro-white. Also good against aggro decks that have big creatures.

Banisher Priest - Basically more removal to give me a better creature advantage against other aggro decks. Also used if they were running enchantment control against Banishing Light.

Fiendslayer Paladin - My bread and butter against any and all that is black or red. When he hits the field, its very rare that he is able to be removed. The lifelink is also offers very good sustain.

Gods Willing - Another answer to creature removal. Its not as good as Brave the Elements because it only targets one creature and that is why it's in the sideboard.

Spirit of the Labyrinth - This is a tech card of mine as it has always had a special place in my heart. He didn't get to see any play because I didn't go against Bant or Azorius but it is my go to answer for Sphynx's Revelation or any other kind of deck that relies on hand advantage. It's also a 3/1 for 2 and procs Ethereal Armor.

Pithing Needle - Standard sideboard staple for AEtherling and Plainswalkers.

Rootborn Defenses - A 3 drop answer to field wipes that also lets me get another soldier token if Precinct Captain is on the field.

Ethereal Armor - I didn't have the space in main deck so I threw it in the sideboard in case I wanted that extra push. Once Ajani, Caller of the Pride rotates out, I will be replacing him with a one-of M15 Ajani and this card.

And there you have it. Mono white is as strong as ever. As you can see, I've already started planning for when M14 rotates out but hopefully the new set will have more to offer so it doesn't take too much of a hit when RTR leaves.

I definitely want to hear all of your comments and suggestions as to how you think the deck can be improved, especially for M15!
