The idea here is to keep cards out of your opponent's hand in the early game by forcing them to discard as much as possible. Abyssal Nocturnus will get pumped when a card is discarded this will hopefully keep it on the battlefield. In a pinch you could always use Creeping Tar Pit if you need reinforcements. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver will keep cards moving off of your opponent's library and eventually allow you to steal some creatures. Ultimately Griselbrand appears. He combined with whatever stolen creatures you now possess should give your opponent a hard time.
