This is a deck built to survive. Karador grants you inevitability, so all you need to do is survive. The card draw and ramp is there so the deck can function consistently, and most everything else is there to stop your opponents from killing you.

Card-by-Card Breakdown

Recursion: Show

Eternal Witness is capable of getting anything back from the yard, which is important becuase we have no other way to get back noncreatures. Also of note, it is a etb effect so it triggers when she is brought back from the yard herself. And to top it off she is larkable and clampable.

Karmic Guide is half of the combo with Reveillark which is very pwerful, but on it's own it can bring any creature back from my graveyard to the battlefield.

Life from the Loam brings up to three lands from the yard back to the hand. This is good because we will often have a fair number of lands in the graveyard because of discarding and effects like grisley salvage. This is the only dredge card in the deck. *I would probably run Crucible of Worlds instead of or in addition to this one, but it is a tad expensive

Meren of Clan Nel Toth is a powerful commander in her own right. Here she is also powerful and the fact that she can bring a guy back at the end of the turn she is brought back means that she is basically free if the creature she brings back is what would have been gotten in her stead.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is one of the most powerful cards in this deck. Many cards have etb effects that Mike can double down on. In addition there are several ways this deck gets value from sacrificing, which Mike doubles down on. If you are looking to build Karador, I would highley suggest not skipping on him for budget reasons.

Reveillark brings back two small dudes when he leaves. With sac outlets the moment of his leaving the battlefield can be controlled. Also if he is reanimated, you get an extra dude at the end. Also many of the smaller dudes ramp, so getting two at once grants you access to tons more mana the following turn.

Saffi Eriksdotter is one of my favorites. She is similar to Mikaeus, the Unhallowed in the fact that she gets more value out of systems already in place, but she has a similar effect to Mother of Runes in that she can protect another one of your creatures.
