Blue Red Control. I'm very new to A) standard B) Making my own decks, so feel free to tell me that this is crap, but please tell me why. The more I think about it, it's just reverse U/W, instead of gaining life, you burn through theirs. Games will be a lot shorter (Cough, Floch), but overall, the deck will likely be worse.
Win conditions are a bit tricky, but I think it would work out.
In my head, this deck is about stopping spells from being cast, or killing creatures if they get through. Using the red part to burn health or creatures, the blue part for your counters and draw strength.
Got some Ornithopters for either chump blocking to counter aggro or as targets for Ensoul Artifact, same goes for the Darksteel Citadels.
Stormtide or Planeswalkers for your end-game. Jace becoming a glorified Elixir for when it rotates out.

2 Mindswipe 1 Keranos, God of the Storms 1 Burn Away 1 Whirlwind Adept
Edit: Khans stuff, might make some changes later regarding 1x cancel. I honestly run the cancel for the mindgames. If people see a three different types of counters, they expect 12 counters rather than the 8 I currently am running.
May also remove either Magma spray or lightning strike. Lightning strike because I've never once won from burn, and so they're not terribly useful other than a surprise planeswalker when my fated's aren't in my hand. Besides, I could use more counters.
Edit: Removed 2 lightning Strikes, added 1 Cancel, 1 Dissipate
2014/11/29 EDIT: Removed whirlwind adept, 3x scouring sands, 1 magma spray and something in the sideboard, added final Ensoul Artifact, 1 lightning strike, 3x negate, 1x Keranos. Switched around sideboard and mainboard stuff
(need acquire, take out 3x scouring, dragon eye, kheru, lightning
EDIT: still need 2x ensoul, 3x Temple. Remove Dragoneye, Lightning, mountain, and 2x swiftwater
