With the release of Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca I finally decided to build a pure tribal EDH deck. Since I never played a Simic EDH deck as well, this has proven to be a totally different deck than the onces I already play.

The goal of the deck is pretty straightforward. Create board presence, so we can activate Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca's abilities as often as we can. His second (draw) and third (+1/+1 counters) abilities will be used most often. We have multiple cards in place to untap all our Merfolk, such as Murkfiend Liege, Seedborn Muse, Paradox Engine, Merrow Commerce and Quest for Renewal. That way we can generate card advantage, enabling us to create a tidal wave of strong Merfolk.

The deck is however very vulnerable to removal and boardwipes, so we need efficient protection for this.
