Enchantment (2)

Instant (4)

Sorcery (2)

This is my version of the Jeskai tempo/aggro deck. Looking for any feedback that might be beneficial to giving this deck the punch it needs. In its current state, at FNM I've finished 2nd twice, 3rd five times, 4th and 6th. Still seeking that 1st place but hopefully it happen soon.

Any and all a suggestions are welcome. So here's how I use this particular deck:

The Creatures:

Seeker of the Way is the early-critter that get me going. With the Prowess trigger, he can get really bad at any particular time thanks to the suite of instants i use like Lightning Strike and Magma Jet. And the lifelink I get from the prowess trigger helps keep me in the game against giant creatures that get a few licks in.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Mantis Rider are the big heavies that get out early and attack often. They get me moving while their vigilance can give me early blockers that can take most damage from my opponent's early burn and creature spells.

Goblin Rabblemaster is just a swell card. It gives me a token every combat phase that keeps the pressure on no matter what. Running 2, testing the running of 4.

Stormbreath Dragon is a big heavy flyer that has protection from 3 out of the 5 clans in Standard right now, and the monstrosity is also very useful. Swinging for 4 the turn he comes out and 7 next turn is a great use of 5 mana.

The Planeswalkers:

Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker can become a flying devastator that is indestructable and doesn't lose loyalty, or taking care of mid to big creatures that are vulnerable to damage. Running 2.

Chandra, Pyromaster is the 4th Planeswalker. She is good for keeping big heavies and flyers from blocking, and is good for taking out deathtouch-y insect flyers from hornets nest . Late game, her ultimate can almost guarantee we hit one of our burn spells for 12/lethal damage or Jeskai Charm to help clear the board and put my opponent back in tempo.

The Instants/Sorceries/Enchantments:

Lightning Strike and Magma Jet provide early board control by dealing with smaller, early creatures and direct damage, and also provide a nice trigger to the Prowess effects of Seeker of the Way .

Jeskai Charm is extremely versatile. It can bounce a big creature back to the top of my opponent's library, costing them mana and setting them back in tempo, 4 damage to the face of my opponent, or buffing my creatures and giving me lifegain in the process.

I have won matches on Deflecting Palm's ability alone. Also, since it doesn't target any particular source, it gets pass Protection and Hexproof, and by running 4 of them, I can make an opponent regret swinging for heavy damage on any given turn. It won me a game where my opponent hit Kiora, the Crashing Wave 's ultimate and swung with the kraken next turn.

Stoke the Flames is a great burn card or Prowess trigger, and Convoke makes use of my vigilance creatures by letting me tap them and keep mana open for a counter or instant spell.

Any good blue deck should have a counter-suite, and here I use Dissolve . It may be a little more expensive than Negate, but this way I can counter anything, creatures included. It's always helpful when a Polukranos, World Eater tries to enter the fray, plus scry always helps.

Finally, Jeskai Ascendancy is here to give my creatures an edge, and to keep them untapped for potential blocking. Plus, if I have cards in my hand that I don't need in a dire situation, I can potentially draw a new one and get rid of the useless one granted I trigger it.

So, that's my deck everyone. As I said before, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and If you like the deck, please give a +1! Thanks!

Updates Add

Hey, so with my recent updates I have gotten some good results. I placed second at my most recent FNM, with my only losses coming round 3 where I went 0-2 but they were ridiculously close (kept burning spells to answer threats like Mantis Rider and Goblin Rabblemaster), and round 4 where I won 2-1, which ended with an Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver ultimate, the kraken attacks, I Deflecting Palm, he Negates, and I counter with Dissolve to allow the palm to resolve. It was a pretty fun night!
