This deck tries to utlize win through either Najeela, the Blade-Blossom and infinite combat steps or Thassa's Oracle is used to threaten earlier wins on turn 2-3. Najeela is also nice as she can get through most stax piece and if nothing else make enough warriors to kill everybody in the long run as they stack up as follows (so games can be won by just attacking an sneaking in an activation or two):

  1. (Najeela attacks alone): 4 damage (3+1 from new token)
  2. (Najeela+1 warrior): 10 damage (3+3 from tokens)
  3. (Najeela+3 warriors): 20 damage (3+7 from tokens)
  4. (Najeela+7 warriors): 38 damage (3+15 from tokens)
  5. (Najeela+15 warriors): 72 damage (3+31 from tokens)
  6. (Najeela+31 warriors): 138 damage (3+63 from tokens)

Note: currently Grim Hireling is run instead of Nature's Will as it is much better outside of combo situations and it works really well with Chatterfang.

Generally try to protect Najeela against removal spells as she is one of our primary win-cons. So use counters and alike to protect her, she however does not necesarily need to attack in order for us to win, however note if you have Thassa's Oracle lines at the ready then protecting her becomes less important.

The primer's author writes: upwards of 50% of my wins come from Thassa's Oracle lines in recent testing. Simply put: we are much less reliant on Najeela these days and, as such, it is important to keep the ability to pivot between Najeela and Oracle gameplans in mind as games develop.

Notes:

  • It is important to think about the color of your mana you need to for example be able to produce all five colors with your lands / untaps from Derevi in order to win.

Chooping board: Sacred Foundry

Mulligans:

  • With all the dorks and fast mana we have in the deck you want to try and go for a hand that can do something turn 1 and then usually follow up with a turn 2 Najeela. E.g. Mana Crypt + Rhystic Study + Vampiric Tutor + 1/2 Lands + whatever is a sure keep. As we can choose to play either turn 1 Najeela or Rhystic Study and then tutor for a Nature's Will or alike at some point. Usually Najeela turn 1 is pretty good unless you are first in the turn order.
  • Remeber the first muuligian is free so if you have an only okay hand consider mulliganing it away, but at the second 7 be a bit more inclined to keep something.
  • Don't keep hands that only can cast turn 2 Najeela if they don't have the mana fixing to cast the rest of your hand or do something usefull.
  • Don't keep hands with to much ramp and no action e.g. 3 lands and 3 ramp spells and interaction e.g. Fierce Guardian ship is a bad hand as it does nothing.

FETCHING NOTE: when fetching for lands prioritize being able to cast your stuff and being able to cast Derevi. BE MINDFUL HOW YOU FETCH.

  • Remeber you can activate Najeela's ability at the end of the combat phase in order to for example let opponents mana that they float from you tapping down their lands fizzle.
  • In some grindier games you wan't to activate Najeelas ability in the declare blockers step after blockers are declared to maximize the life link.
  • Silence: is one of the best cards in the deck as it can protect your combos and stop other people from winning.
  • Chatterfang, Squirrel General: is super nice in the deck as he allows you to get double tokens and also the squirrels come in tapped and attacking. He is also a warrior himself that is unblockable most of the time, while functioning as removal.
  • Wild Growth/Utopia Sprawl: are super nice as they alongside Derevi, Empyrial Tactician mean we have to get less creatures through in order to get infinite combat steps.
  • Mindblade Render: can draw a card on each of your combat steps also the extra ones.
  • Thran Quary: should be played as your last land.
  • Neoform/Eldritch Evolution: will often find Derevi, Empyrial Tactician but can also be used to find Thassa's Oracle or Dockside Extortionist into Ad Nauseam.
  • Worldly Tutor: While it can find Derevi don't hesitate to find other early value engines if needed such as Esper Sentinel/Mindblade Render/Drannith Magistrate.
  • Nature's Will: pretty nice that you actually don't even have to attack with Najeela or other warriors to win with this card if you can get some other flying threat through like Archon of Emeria as Najeela untaps all attacking creatures. So if you can with for example an Dockside Extortionist then you can play both Najeela and Nature's Will in one turn an win from that.
Derevi, Empyrial Tactician (our strongest win con outside of an early Thassa's Oracle: (remeber you can tap down blockers on ETB or getting through)
  • Basic: 5 attackers able to get through.
  • Derevi, Empyrial Tactician can take advantage of newly created warriors so. If worst case only 1 warrior can attack at first then you get 2 untaps needing 3 addtional mana to activate Najeela then aftwards you create 4 triggers requiring only 1 more mana in total 4 mana. The following attacks then go infinite and allow you to genrate addtional tap and untap triggers (tap down opponent's lands with these triggers).

Nature's Will: we need a varying amount of lands based on the amount of opponents we can get through. As it generates seperate triggers:

  • 1 creature getting through and 5 lands able to generate
  • 2 creatures getting through at different opponents and 3 lands able to generate . Often possible turn 3 by playing Najeela turn 2 and then attacking with her and a created warrior next turn.
  • 3 creatures getting through at different opponents and 2 lands able to generate
  • . Remeber that you can take extra combat steps by using mana not generated by Nature's Will until you have enough attackers to connect on all opponents.

Grim Hireling:

  • Basic: three attacks being able to get through on three people generating 6 treasures each time.
  • Remeber that you can take extra combat steps by using mana not generated by Grim Hireling until you have enough attackers to connect on all 3 opponents.

Ad Nauseam can also straigh up win games by then allowing us to often drop an Dockside Extorsonist (can also be played first to get mana for the Ad Nauseam). The mana for the Dockside comes from our fast mana like Chrome Mox, Simian Spirit Guide, or Elvish Spirit Guide.

Cards i am missing that are to expensive for now:
