BUG Food Chain Combo

Currently the stock (no trinket mage) maindeck.

A BUG midrange deck with a back-pocket combo - Food Chain + Misthollow Griffin or Eternal Scourge + Food Chain

The deck stands on its powerful card advantage interaction of Eternal Scourge + Manipulate Fate + Misthollow Griffin - Turning Manipulate Fate into a "draw 4" for 1U.

Another reason to be playing the deck is the strong 3 color mana base. Leveraged by Deathrite Shaman, the deck is able to play 3-5 basics, making it resilient against wasteland decks - Leovold, Emissary of Trest added some slight, but worthwhile strain on the manabase.

Your good matchups for the deck are other midrange and grindy decks. The recurring nature of your threats and the power of Manipulate Fate give you a ton of fuel to fight with, often ending on top of any long games you play. Walking Ballista is the most recent addition, which boosted our winrates against Delver, Elves and DnT.

The harder matchups for the decks are fast combo - ANT/TES, Show and Tell variants, and fast Dark Depths draws etc. The decks only maindeck permission is Force of Will, while the Force of Will + Misthollow Griffin synergy is strong, does not back you up enough against these decks. Your sideboard will be heavily leveraged with discard Thoughtseize or Duress and Flusterstorm to fight these decks.
