Sideboard

I have decided over the last few months that the time is right to dust off my old Faeries deck and try out different builds, as I believe it is an often overlooked and unexplored deck in Modern, which has the potential to be a hidden powerhouse as it ticks so many boxes that is so often overlooked.

Not only do most of the creatures have evasion due to flying, they also have the benefit of having secondary abilities that can give you the advantage in the right situation.

Spellstutter Sprite is one of your most important creatures within the deck, not only is it a 1/1 with flying that can be cast with flash to act as a blocker when required, but it also has the added bonus of being able to counter your opponents spells, and when used with Cavern of Souls it become uncounterable.

Vendilion Clique is so versatile and used in so many decks that it is not a surprise that you would find it as a staple within a Faeries deck, not only can it close out a game quickly, but it can also be used to block and kill larger creatures in a pinch, although its main advantage is being able to either disrupt your opponents hand, or smooth out your own if you find yourself with a hand of duds

Mistbind Clique like Vendilion is a good way to close the game fast, it is a 4/4 with flying and serves multiple purposes within the deck, the main being a way to stop yourself from taking too much damage from your Bitterblossom, it also has the added advantage of tapping all your opponents lands when it comes into play, used right this will give you card advantage by forcing your opponent to play on your terms, a little thought of use for this mind you is to attach onto Vendilion or another Mistbind, that way when it is removed from play you get the ability of the other one coming into the field again.

Next are the Honorary Faeries, Snapcaster Mage, which allows you to recast all your counter/ kill and hand disruption again as required, but also dont be afraid to use this as just an ambush viper if needed, while you will not get the full effect, it can help out when needed and allow you to take control of the board.

Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   is next on the list as a 1 of within the deck, it can help smooth out your deck, and when flipped it can either shrink down your opponents creatures buying you the time needed to control the board, or flash back a kill/ hand disruption spell to help keep the board at bay, I have gone for this over the normal Liliana of the Veil because with this deck just discarding your card is worse than filtering for a card that you need, and being able to then flash back allows you to control your opponents hand better than Lilliana can do.

Last on the honorary list, and probably the overlord of them all is a new addition to Modern and that is Tasigur, the Golden Fang, he can be cast quite early, and being able to clean up your graveyard to keep Tarmogoyf at bay by keeping him smaller is an advantage, and being able to get cards back with his secondary ability gives you even more card advantage.

I will look at going over the rest of the cards within the deck at a later time and my reason for them, but I will leave it here for now.

Anyway all feedback is welcome, any thoughts would be great on what I can do to improve this build, and also what you think my current weaknesses and strengths are, and what I need to do to improve on these :)

Thanks in advance everyone.
