Hi guys! This is my newest brew and attempt at breaking
Rally the Ancestors
If you can't see the combo I break it down for you below. I am looking for suggestions of course. I have not tested this deck in tournament play as of yet. I will be introducing it into my meta tomorrow night. Alright lets get to it.
So the combo is as follows...
Rally the Ancestors
+ Purphoros, God of the Forge + Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
How it works
The deck runs on many "enablers" (cards that place cards in the graveyard) these serve to get the combo pieces together, giving you the chance to "go off" (win the game) these "enablers" include Disciple of Deceit, Monastery Siege, Sultai Charm, Satyr Wayfinder, and Sidisi, Brood Tyrant also functions as an "enabler" as well as a combo piece.
once you have the pieces in place you can "go off" by casting
Rally the Ancestors
with x equaling 4. This can be accomplished turn 5 with Sylvan Caryatid or turn 6 off of your natural mana curve. Once you cast it you return all creatures of cmc (converted mana cost) 4 or less from your graveyard to play.
When your creatures return to the battlefield several things all happen at once. Purphoros, God of the Forge triggers whenever another creature enters the battlefield and each trigger deals 2 damage to the opponent. If you have multiple Purphoros, God of the Forge hit the board at the same time then they will trigger off of each other and each will trigger separately for each other creature that enters at the same time. However before any triggers resolve you have to sacrifice one of them, this is ok because the triggers from the dead god will still resolve later.
It's important to note that it is impossible to have two Purphoros, God of the Forge in play when Sidisi, Brood Tyrant's triggers start to resolve so you will not get double triggers off of any zombies made from those triggers. Thats ok though because you really only need one per creature to win in the first place.
Speaking of Sidisi, Brood Tyrant She is what will put your damage from Purphoros, God of the Forge over the top (even if you only are allowed to have one trigger per zombie, it quickly adds up regardless) Sidisi, Brood Tyrant makes it so that every time you "mill" (take cards from the top of your library and place them into your graveyard) you will get a zombie if you happen to "mill" a creature card. You can only get one zombie per instance of being "milled" but thats ok.
Paired with Sidisi, Brood Tyrant every creature "enabler" that we talked about earlier has the potential to grant you a zombie companion when it enters the battlefield, what this means for your combo is that you get up to two triggers per returned creature from
Rally the Ancestors
so with Purphoros, God of the Forge in the mix you only need 5 creatures to potentially win the game right there with 20 damage straight to your opponents face. If you had two Purphoros, God of the Forge enter play from your graveyard then you can win with just 3 other creatures providing that Sidisi, Brood Tyrant is one of them and so and so forth.
So to summarize once you cast
Rally the Ancestors
you return Purphoros, God of the Forge and Sidisi, Brood Tyrant along with a few more creatures and you have the potential to win the game through the god's triggers alone. The chances are pretty high because you are bound to have quite a few guys in your graveyard by the time you cast
Rally the Ancestors
I hope you guys like the deck! I look forward to hearing suggestions!
