Pretty straightforward stompy deck. You put out your semi-strong creatures, pump em up a little and tap them into victory - it's a very cheap deck if you don't consider the fetchlands and Thrun, the Last Troll . You can leave the fetches be and replace Thrun with either Nylea, God of the Hunt , Harmonize or some other 4 mana beater of your choice (Thrun might get autoreplaced by Collected Company ).

Edit: Collected Company got a bit more expensive recently - just replace it with whatever tickles your fancy: Dungrove Elder, Kitchen Finks and so on...

If possible start out by playing Experiment One so it gets buffed with every continous creature play. After two +1/+1 marks he becomes quite valueable by eating most removal spells and not dying.

Dryad Militant weakens Tarmogoyf and messes with Snapcaster Mage .

Kalonian Tusker and Leatherback Baloth are your vanilla beaters. They both increase your devotion substantially so your Aspect of Hydra becomes really relevant. I'm not too fond of Kalonian Tusker since he dies to the omnipresent Lightning Bolt , but there aren't any good mono-green alternatives.

Scavenging Ooze shrinks Tarmogoyf and helps against graveyard based decks.

Strangleroot Geist is my favourite card in this deck - he's very valueable and usually nets in a lot of damage and value.

Vines of Vastwood protects your creatures and lets you swing in for more or trade favourably against creature based decks. It's also incredibly important to keep in hand against Splinter Twin /Kiki-Jikki, Mirror Breaker decks - you target their Deceiver Exarch / Pestermite with it and cause the spell/ability to fizzle.

Dismember makes you lose 4 life but you only use it against big threats and game ending creatures - Siege Rhino , fed Tarmogoyf or Deceiver Exarch .

Rancor gives your creatures trample and most importantly returns to your hand after the creature dies.

It's a nice budget deck that can win a tournament if you're lucky with the draws.

The sideboard is filled with cards that help you against your most annoying matchups.

Beast Within is a cry for help against your hardest matchups: Tron and Scapeshift . You obviously destroy one of the Urza lands against Tron and target one of the mountains when Scapeshift unleashes their combo at 7 lands - but do it WHILE the triggers are already on the stack. The first mountain that you target will deal 3 damage - but the other 5 afterwards will only see 4 other mountains in game and deal no damage at all. At 8 lands the combo cannot be stopped - you just have to kill the opponent by that time or get some life through Scavenging Ooze to stay above 21 life depending on wether they bring in 2 Valakuts or just 1.

Choke and Skylasher deal with Control, Twin Exarch and Merfolk decks.

Creeping Corrosion , Deglamer and Unravel the Aether help you deal with affinity, while the last two also deal with Splinter Twin and Wurmcoil Engine .

Relic of Progenitus is necessary where the mainboard Scavenging Ooze isn't enough. It's great since it cycles itself once it gets targeted by removal.

Obstinate Baloth helps out against Junk/discard decks and burn to some lesser degree.

I've added Feed the Clan against Scapeshift , Burn and Storm decks.

EDIT: Stompy players rejoice - Avatar of the Resolute will be replacing Kalonian Tusker! Still considering wether Collected Company is better than Thrun, the Last Troll.
