The latest version in my quest for a semi-decent turbo fog deck in standard. It has been an uphill battle, but this version works really well.
There is a good amount of life gain in the deck from The Birth of Meletis and since you'll be milling yourself, Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath keeps you alive all on its own because of how much escape fodder you can amass.
The plan is simple. Mill yourself with Tamiyo, Collector of Tales and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries until you either win with Jace or Thassa's Oracle.
To keep us alive until we deck ourselves, we got the life gain and of course Root Snare. Also, Jace and Tamiyo seem to convince your opponent that they cannot go face, so that helps the life total.
Time Wipe is very helpful against aggro and tokens, and you can bounce your Uro or Oracle to use them again.
Thassa's Intervention is a low key MVP in the deck. You get a really good counterspell as well as a scry X draw 2 in 1 card. Not to mention the recursion from Tamiyo makes it OP.
I love the idea of self-mill, but its hard to get it to work consistently. The only reason it does okay against RDW in this meta is because of the free blocker from the birth of meletis as well as the life gain in general.
I would love feedback and/or suggestions on the deck. I'm always trying to improve the decks performance. It started as Simic, then Bant for t3feri, then it stayed Bant but removed t3feri. I dont know what I'd cut to add t3feri back, but i'm sure that'll be a suggestion.
