So, I LOVE mill decks. I find them incredibly fun to play.

I had an old Zendikar era standard legal mill deck, which I recently decided to rework to make a modern legal deck. There is little to no SB as I am not sure what Modern format is like so need more research before putting one in. Recommendations are greatly appreciated!

-Ghost Quarter + Archive Trap is a great combo. Especially if I can combo in a Snapcaster Mage for a mill of 26. (When I can get fetch lands I will add a few white sources for Path to Exile to give some removal and more Archive Trap triggers.

-Familiar's Ruse is great with Snapcaster Mage. Although I am considering changing Familiar's Ruse for something else as sometimes I have to pull a delver to cast it.

-Twincast feels a bit weak in this deck, it hasn't been cast much (though when it goes off, it does work well. Can turn the above Ghost Quarter->Archive Trap->Snapcaster Mage->Archive Trap combo into a 39 card mill for 4cmc

-Thoughtseize is something I am considering, as it adds the ability to take early threats.

-Sage of Epityr is another consideration, as it's an early chump body that sets up my next few turns

-Surgical Extraction I so far use vs lands to increase the mill of Mind Grind

For the SB-Annul seems a stale choice. I don't yet know what the local meta will be like.

The sideboard needs work as I am new to modern and not sure what I would need in it
