My newest Commander deck is built around one of the weirdest looking general's there is, Melek, Izzet Paragon and designed to get the highest efficiency out of each spell with his ability while also providing a ton of synergy between cards. if you've never played with all of the silly stuff that izzet can come up with I highly recommend you playtest this deck and try it out.

notable combo: 4th turn win...

1st turn- island, Sol Ring

2nd turn- mountain, Chromatic Lantern, Nivix Guildmage

3rd turn- mountain. and sit on your hands...try not to look threatening

4th turn- using the Chromatic Lantern to make U, play High Tide, tap your lands + Sol Ring to give you UUUURR2 and cast Turnabout use Nivix Guildmage's ability to copy it, let the copy resolve, untapping all of your lands, tap out for UUUURR and copy it again with the ability leaving UR leftover for each cycle.

Use the guildmage's first ability to draw and discard at will until you draw any thing that allows you to draw, and then copy it as many times as is needed with guildmage's second ability, drawing out your whole library from there you can win in a hundred different ways :)
