Bant Eldrazi, pretty standard list here honestly. I'll briefly discuss any notable differences with "Stock" lists.

The Shell:

  • 4 Eldrazi Temple
  • 4 Noble
  • 4 Stirrings
  • 4 Path
  • 4 Displacer
  • 4 TKS
  • 4 Smasher
  • 3 Drowner

Flex:

2 EE, 2 Talisman, 2 Skyspawner, 2 Reshaper, 1 Dismember/Blessed Alliance, 1 Spellskite 1 Ghost Quarter

General Playing Strategy:

  • Mulligan aggressively into "Gas", but don't be afraid to take a more controlling route as the game goes on using Displacer and Drowner.
  • Displacer and TKS (or a lot of stuff) on upkeep is a nice soft lock as well.
  • Don't overextend your smashers.
  • Noble is nice, but Noble is vulnerable, lean too heavy on him for a hand and expect to get wrecked.

Lands:

  • Onslaught basics. Show some respect.
  • I hate seeing 2 Caverns in the same game as it makes me way too reliant on a Noble living to cast important stuff like Path or Stirrings, 3 seems good enough if I need them.
  • 4 fetches makes burn / aggro suck a whole bunch, cut one and add a Ghost Quarter bc its nice to have if you need it. GQ is my utility land of choice over Sea Gate Wreckage or anything stupid like Gemstone Caverns.
  • I like a 3/3 split on Brushland and Yavimaya Coasts. You need blue essentially as much as you need white. I also don't like relying solely on Cavern for mana fixing because it can't cast your sideboard cards, specifically the counterspells.
  • No basic Island! Just no, what are you gonna do with that in your opener? Lose. That's what.
  • 2 Talismans... The blood moon comes and goes and Nobles are such an easy target. They hurt no doubt, which is why you especially can't go up to 4 fetches.

La Beef:

  • 3 Drowners. You only want three with 23 lands. Probably the best creature you break open the game I'll admit, but you can find them with Stirrings if you need one. I never like seeing them in my opener.
  • 2/2 Reshaper/Skyspawner. If Blood Moon isn't something you want to worry about or if aggro is just everywhere, then this becomes 3/3 and we drop the painful talismans. I don't think its correct to go 4/0 either way unless you explicitly know the meta.

Playing Fair:

  • 4 Stirrings. See what I did there.

Flex slots:

  • 2 EE is still always correct in my opinion, too versatile and its tutorable.
  • 1 Blessed Alliance. Admittedly I just want to try one main over Dismember bc I hate losing all that life and because Spatial Contortion feels too "meh", even though its tutorable targeted removal.

Sideboard:

  • I like to have targets that I can dig for with Ancient Stirrings. I know RIP etc are great, but being able to have "extra" copies of sideboard cards feels much stronger to me than the individual sideboard cards themselves.
  • Relic > RIP and 2 Cages - 4 cards for graveyard shenanigans, and you can Stirrings for them. Have I mentioned that this is important to me?
  • 2 Blessed Alliance: Card is nuts when you need it. This helps hedge against infect and burn and random shit like bogles or Etched Champion. Solid everywhere.
  • 2 Stony Silence: Nothing else is this good against Affinity or Lantern or Tron, I typically want 3 since I can't dig for them.
  • 1 Worship: More of a slap in the face of shit that's not ready for it. This is why I run the next card over Natural State.
  • 2 Nature's Claim: Everything... Plus with Talismans and Spellskite you can even gain some life in the clutch. Kills Worship in the mirror. Its always important to win the mirror.
  • 3 Counterspells: I honestly don't know what to do with these bastards. I love them and I hate them. With more combo coming about, they are a necessity. Currently I like 2 Stubborn Denial and 1 Disdainful Stroke. Other than Liliana of the Veil these also cover all the problem planeswalkers and having a house against Big Mana doesn't feel bad either. I see a lot of people argue for going heavy on counters in the side. I haven't tried it, but currently I'm leaning towards LESS counters because in general they are just bad right now.
