Rakdos colored beatdown creatures with the better removal spells in the format. Would consider cutting the vehicle package but it turns on Unlicensed Disintegration so well, even if Heart of Kiran just eats an Abrade most of the time. Curving Gifted Aetherborn into Ammit Eternal has been even better than I expected. I went up to 3 Hazorets and am considering a 4th because in the late game it is almost always the best possible top deck.
the control matchup is better than I expected, It gets rough if they get to gearhulk mana at a high life total but even then you still have ways to outgrind them with Hazoret, Scrapheap Scrounger, and removal spells. Haven't played against the Approach deck yet but I would suspect the matchup is quite bad unless you hit Approach with Transgress the Mind or they miss a key land drop or 2.
6 Lifelinkers plus Aethersphere Harvester make Mono-Red a winnable matchup, I would probably still say they are favored as their curve is lower so they can get under me a bit but if Gifted Aetherborn gets a few attacks in or Kalitas sticks around it's probably game over for them.
Gifted is an all-star again against the Temur deck as it forces them to use premium removal spells to get through with anything that isn't Glorybringer. It gets better post board once Gonti joins the team and well timed Transgresses can ruin their plan (still not sure if it is correct to transgress or kill the servant on the draw, I'll always kill the longtusk cub though)
Deck mostly loses sideboard cards after rotation, if I continue to play it I will probably replace 1 set of duals with Spire of Industry and the other with Dragonskull Summit (obviously). Transgress probably becomes Duress or a split between Duress and Doomfall, Ob probably becomes Liliana Death's Majesty, not sure what to do about the 2 spots left by Gonti just yet. Obviously this is all meta-game dependent as well
The deck plays like Mardu Vehicles and Mono Red had a baby, both of those decks are better at their dedicated strategy, but the mana in this deck is much better than Mardu and I like how access to black cards gives me flexibility than Mono Red doesn't have.
Things I'm considering pre rotation include finding room for 1 or 2 Pia Nalaars, a 4th Hazoret, and/or a 2nd Cut to Ribbons. Last thing to note is while it looks pretty simple, this deck has great late game topdecks for an aggro deck and can grind pretty hard when it needs to, while also have it's very aggressive draws, while not as explosive as Mardu or Mono Red it can curve 2 drop, 3 drop, 4 drop pretty consistently.
