Just a random idea I had for a modern deck archetype I thought could be at least semi-competitive. Here, we have a BUG control shell that plays a lot of high-toughness defenders, like Tree of Redemption and Wall of Frost to survive long enough to land a Phenax, God of Deception with counterspell backup and win through mill. Tarmogoyf is also an effective beater, and has high enough toughness to help your Phenax mill plan.

Disrupt your opponent with Surgical Extraction, kozilek, and counterspells like Spell Pierce, Spell Snare, etc.

Suggestions welcome, like I said, I just threw this together on the spot.
