This is a my casual Dragons Deck. It builds around surviving long enough to play a few Dark Rituals and/or Seething Songs to power Dragonstorm. Ideally you have some Dragons on your Hand, choose Kilnmouth Dragon and Utvara Hellkite wreak havoc on the opponents board.

The Dragons in the Deck:

  • Kilnmouth Dragon can be a huge creature. It gets 3 +1/+1 markers for each Dragon in hand when it enters the Battlefield. Additionally it can snipe troublesome Creatures from the board by delivering Damage equal to its +1/+1 markers. Usually 3 is enough be major threat on the table and to kill most noisy creatures.
  • Utvara Hellkite is the dragon you want second on the battlefield. It generates 6/6 flying dragon tokens everytime a dragon (including the tokens itself) attacks. Since it is a major target to remove, do not expect it to survive long. Because of that you should play it only if you can already attack with another Dragon, so its ability triggers at least once. If it manages to survive to your next turn, do not hold back! Attack with everything you got. You will get free Dragon Tokens for each attacker, so you can block almost anything the opponent throws at you.
  • If your opponent manages to kill one of your precious Dragons, use Bladewing the Risen to reanimate your fallen Creatures. They think they've gotten rid of Utvara Hellkite? Well here he is again! Additionally he can make all your Dragons stronger by paying some mana.
  • Dragons are usually very expensive creatures. You need to survive until you've got that mana to bring them out. Wouldn't it be great to give your opponents an incentive NOT to attack you? Enter Slumbering Dragon. He is a onedrop 3/3 Dragon creature with Flying, that cannot attack or block. But everytime a creature attacks you, he will get slightly disturbed in his sleep and gain a +1/+1 marker. Once he has 5 +1/+1 markers he awakes and can attack and block the living hell out of your opponents creatures. But the effect does not stop. It will continue to grow larger and stronger. Especially useful in multiplayer matches since it can grow from muliple opponents, and the opponents can target other players than you. Helps you to stay alive.
  • Since cards like Dark Ritual and Seething Song trade speed for card advantage, you will very soon have an empty hand. Dragon Mage tries to counter that, by allowing you (and forcing every other player) to discard your (empty or almost empty) hand and draw 7 fresh cards, but you have to be careful, since some opponent Decks play cards regularly out of the graveyard. Play this one with caution.

Possible upgrades to this Deck:

  • This deck needs a faster manabase. Most of the dual land can be exchanged with similar and better ones.
  • Haste! If you manage to get Utvara Hellkite haste he can attack the turn he comes onto the battlefield, you can start immediately creating tokens. Consider Dragon Tempest, pair this with an effect to get an aditional combat phase (like Hellkite Charger or Fury of the Horde and you have up to four 6/6 Dragons with flying on the battlefield.
  • Better damage spells. Electrickery is ok, Pyroclasm is better.
