I like the whole idea behind Urzatron and playing big cards. However, the Karn-packed, competitive, expensive meta-tron is not something I feel like investing into. So here's my attempt at more casual but still hard-hitting tron :)
The Core
Big thanks to kyPanda6 who proposed the following:
Now, lets start from the backbone, the lands: 12x Tron Lands, 7x Forest 2x Field of Ruins. Nothing special, i think 19 is a bit risky, 21 looks more solid for a budget list. Also we will play more green.
Spells: 4x Ancient Stirrings 4x Sylvan Scrying Must have spells to make the deck work
Artifacts: 4x Chromatic Star 4x Chromatic Sphere 4x Expedition Map
And here we get to the first budget cut, o-stones are powerful and you desperately need board wipes: Perilous Vault is the closest thing to Oblivion Stone, you can clearly see the cost gap, however still better than nothing. The other option is Ratchet Bomb, which is far better against aggro, I would go for: 3x ratchet 1x vault And another copy of each in the sideboard. The list also plays 3x Relic of Progenitus as a tech against certain decks, you don't need it in the main deck.
And now the last part, creatures and planeswalkers, this is the most upgradable part of the deck, obviously we must cut the big eldrazis and planeswalkers, and replace them with some nice and cheap cards, like 4x world breaker This card is a small Ulamog, it eats a land/artifact/enchantment when you cast it, always high value play. 4x Bane of Bala Ged nice card, nothing to say. You need a total of 14 creatures, if you haven't crossed the budget yet consider 1x Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, also improve this section before others with Wurmcoil Engine and Walking Ballista. Other playable cards are Myr Battlesphere And Steel Hellkite. Thragtusk also looks good. Sideboard: 1x ratchet bomb 1× perilous vault 4x Nature's Claim 3x Warping Wail 3x Spatial Contortion 3x Sentinel Totem
And yes, I ignored much of his suggestions xD
Will adjust the deck after some play-testing.
