Drain:

We want to burn our opponents out while keeping our life total safe. Creeping Bloodsucker drains each turn, while Cuombajj Witches pings face or an annoying creature each turn. Serrated Scorpion drains on death while Gray Merchant of Asphodel(aka gary) has the potential to deal massive damage on etb. Soul Reap can deal damage alongside removal when played after another spell.

Draw:

To make sure we dont run out of fuel we have plenty of draw. Village Rites can turn an opponents removal spell into our advantage or simply dump off an unnecessary creature to refill our hand. Thorn of the Black Rose is a great recurring draw engine that lets us push out opponents. Sign in Blood is almost always a 2 mana draw 2 that rewards our life gain but can turn around at the end of a game to deal a final 2 damage to the opponent.

Disruption:

To make sure the opponent can't do what they want, we have Defile and the afforementioned Soul Reap to kill annoying creatures and Chittering Rats to disrupt the opponents hand and draw. Bojuka Bog can get rid of the opponents graveyard threats.
