The EDH decks focus is on one thing - pumping up your creatures. Most cards either cause you to put one or more +1/+1 counters on creatures your control, be it one creature, or all of them. On top of this, there are a variety of cards that cause creatures that currently have one or more +1/+1 counters to recieve an array of benefits to make them even stronger or more potent. Lastly, some other creatures are included that allow you to move or remove these counters to activate a specific ability.

This is a hugely creature-heavy deck. The goal is to get them out fast, and make them grow ASAP. You want to overpower and overwhelm your opponent, and do so with a strong synergy of creatures that play off of each others strengths. Even the two planeswalkers, Ajani, Caller of the Pride, and Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, allow you to place +1/+1 counters on either one or ALL of your creatures. There isnt much defense provided in this deck, as the idea is to make your opponent play defense. Strong control decks may present a problem, but there are cards included that are not counter-able.

There are 20 green creatures, 7 white, 5 black, 11 multicolored, and 1 colorless. The 2 planeswalkers are green and white. Mana costs for creatures, and number of creatures per category, are as follows - 1 mana(2), 2 mana(6), 3 mana(10), 4 mana(10), 5 mana(8), 6 mana(1), 7 mana(4), 8 mana(1), and X mana(1). This means that turn 3 and 4 are when you can really start to get some stuff on the board, but there is still some cards for turns 1-2. This deck focuses on the late game, which is ideal for commander, anyway.

The main commander is Anafenza, the Foremost, with a low casting cost of 3 mana (1 white, 1 black, 1 green). This ideally allows you to play him quick, racking up +1/+1 counters by allowing you to put one on another target creature each time the commander attacks. Plus, your opponents creatures are exiled when the die, instead of going to the graveyard. If the scenario warrants, you can also swap this commander out and use either Asmire, holy Avenger, with a cost of 4 mana (2 colorless, 1 green, 1 white), a 2/3 flyer who gets a +1/+1 counter everytime another creature of yours go to the graveyard, or Karador, Ghost Chieftain, at 8 mana (5 colorless, 1 black, 1 green, 1 white), who is a 3/4 who costs 1colorless mana less to cast for each creature in your graveyard, and also allows you to cast a creature from your graveyard once per turn. Since Karador is so expensive, and not really beneficial until later in the game, this is the last card you would want to use as a commander.
