This is a fun, relatively cheap list I've come up with. I know it needs work so feel free to leave suggestions!
The plan:
Fill up your graveyard as fast as possible to achieve value, by either recurring creatures or making huge ones
The cards:
Satyr Wayfinder
Necromancer's Assistant
Sultai Skullkeeper
These cards basically fill the same roll, in that they hit the battlefield and put cards in your graveyard. These are the main engine off the deck, and where most of the value comes from
Marang River Prowler
Bloodsoaked Champion
The synergy between these two cards is fantastic, in that they both enable each other. The champion is the black permanent that the prowler is looking for, while the prowler can safely attack to enable the champions raid trigger, neither of these cards mind ending up in the yard and that's very helpful for the deck
Nighthowler
Nemesis of Mortals
The meat of the deck. These two theros monsters do quite a good impression of tarmogoyf in this deck. There are very few time where neither if these cards will be relevant, and are exactly what the deck wants to do. Bestowing nighthowler onto the prowler isn't exactly a corner case either
Strength from the Fallen
Makes a guy big. Good in multiples. Synergy with nighthowler. Not much else to say.
Whip of Erebos
Lifeline as a static ability on all our creatures is very good.Whipping back a nemesis or nighthowler is even better. May include some ETB effects post board for a toolbox kind of effect. Whipping back a wayfinder or skullkeeper isn't unheard of either
Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
Very good card in this deck. If I could afford more, I'd play 5.Synergies with everything. Whipping back skullkeepers isn't as bad as you think with her.
