Animar and his big dudes

Commander / EDH

Tritonus

Creature (44)

Land (36)

My take on an Animar, Soul of Elements commander deck. I don't think there are too many surprises here. The strategy is as usual

1) ramp
2) play creatures and add +1/+1 counters to Animar by doing so
3) play big creatures for cheap or for free
4) escalate

The deck can be really fast. I only play it in a casual setting, and in my experience it is stronger in a 4 player game than in a 3 player game.

Not recommended if you don't want a target on your commander as soon as it is in play.

As it is right now, this deck works really well, at least in my playgroup. The Mana Base works as well, although it looks like it doesn't have enough green. I've never really had a problem with that.

Still, I'd like to hear your opinions.

(And yes, Tolaria is only in as a joke. Might as well be an island. ;)
