I use despise instead of thoughtseize because thoughtseize costs $60 for a whole playset. There's no other reason and it would definitely play better if I ran thoughtseize instead of despise.

I may be crazy, but murderous cut, being the only card (besides whip of erebos if i REALLY feel like it) in the entire deck that exiles graveyard, totally works as a 1-drop.
