Okay! So this thing has changed so much over the past year or so. I started with a Dark Confidant-type shell with Young Pyromancer. Then I shifted to an inherently better Nahiri/Emmy shell. Then I saw the synergy between Kalitas and wanted to only have creatures that benefited from my non-creature spells. Which brings us to our huge arsenal of kill spells and planeswalkers that can help us regain board position as well as helping us find the spells we want. Mentor is just another creature that helps us gain more value from our spells against aggro decks.
