Now let's be honest with ourselves. Everyone and their mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and inbred progeny are building walls are have been brewing since Arcades was leaked. But my bad jokes will buttress my claim to lame!

From a solid foundation, success can be had, puns can be tossed, and I can waste your time.

"It's over Anakin. I have the high ground."

Based on this 60ish card deck: Siege Inversion. I ported it to edh since I play the format more often and it's better in my opinion

I built because I'm a snarky goober that's not very smart, and so far it seems at least decent. In prior testing, I've stalled out winners with no true solutions in hand or drawn for as many as 4 turns. Now I've hopefully added some teeth to these poor walls now that I've gained a bit more understanding of potential shenanigans.

I have to admit, if all goes well it can be oppressive, and the hard control it can establish is honestly just not nice

Good thing is I'm less inclined toward true combo degneeracy and can now play honest wall beat down with some control in the mix

Win-Cons, in no particular order:

  1. Commander Damage through evasive flickers and taking advantage of board states. Generally unlikely, but a half-built (see what I did there) backup plan

  2. Mill everyone out with Doorkeeper. This can be expedite by having Axebane Guardian or Overgrown Battlement plus Sword of the Paruns for infinite mana production. Kiora's Follower also helps smooth things out here, and lets the combo be more robust versus targeted removal

  3. Combat damage with Assault Formation and Wakestone Gargoyle: Big butts always matter, now, they do twice as much.

  4. Hard lock with lots of mana with the above mana dorks, Mirari's Wake, etc. + Spell Burst and/or Render Silent. With the latter Mnemonic Wall & Archaeomancer flickering lets it shine something serious. Aka classic blue devil control tomfoolery.

Sideboard stuff is things from the last one that I found to be less than handy. They may be brought back one day, but not today, Ed boy.
