Sideboard

So I built this deck to abuse landfall from Hedron Crab. Fetchlands like Polluted Delta are now dual triggers for crab. Ghost Quarter lets you blow up a land of yours for an untapped land in your library for yet another Hedron Crab trigger as well. Field of Ruin guarantees a crab trigger, and forces your opponent to search their library to pay 0 for Archive Trap. Ipnu Rivulet is a crab trigger and mills 4. Fraying Sanity is an obvious choice here, letting you double up on the fun.

Then the sorceries are pretty much standard UB flavor with 4 of Glimpse the Unthinkable, and 2 of Mind Funeral. Mind funeral becomes much more lethal with repeated uses of cards like Ghost Quarter and Field of Ruin due to them having less lands to hit. I have a weird selection of instants, leaning more toward control. Between the lands, sorceries, and Hedron crab, I don't really have to pack in as much hard mill spells, so I can focus more on counterspells like Mana Leak. Grasp of Darkness is also good, and hits targets that Fatal Push can't hit, while sidestepping indestructibility. Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek would be good here too, but I don't know what to take out for them. Extirpate is here for Ermakrul or any other pesky cards you don't want to deal with, and I think is a better Surgical Extraction due to the split second. It may be good to run both. Winds of Rebuke is a better Boomerang that mills everyone for 2 which keeps in line with the theme of my deck. Visions of Beyond gets better the longer the game goes on.

I REALLY REALLY want to find a way to make Isochron Scepter work with this deck, as having a counter every turn for 2 would be great, or an extra card or 3 per turn can't hurt. Ensaring Bridge shuts down pretty much everything since you're likely going to have something to play each turn. Altar of the Brood just adds to the lethality of Hedron Crab's antics, and is somewhat serviceable until you get one, or if your crab gets dealt with somehow. Crucible of Worlds is the reasoning behind all of the funky land choices, as getting multiple uses out of cards like Ipnu Rivulet or even Polluted Delta can get devastating once it's paired with a crab or two. The star of the show is obviously Hedron Crab. A pair of Snapcaster Mage is the juice you need to crank this deck into overdrive.

I'm considering splashing green for Eternal Witness and Azusa, Lost but Seeking for obvious choices. It would probably be good to board in Crystal Shard to help protect the crabs, abuse Witness and Snapcaster's ETB triggers, and to help curb aggression from your opponent.

Damnation is a good clear all spell, but I like the flexibility of Yahenni's Expertise more, as you get to build advantage right away. Hmm.. seems like a good synergy with Eternal witness.

Also Shelldock Isle isn't a bad choice here for land too. I have 2 other variations of this deck as well, I haven't had time to update it yet. I built this for play on untap.in, and I do have plans to purchase this deck although those dual lands and crucible is gonna hurt
