General Gameplan

A win typically comes from casting Thassa's Oracle + one of the forbidden tutors. If the cast is successful, hold priority once her ETB ability hits the stack, and cast either Demonic Consultation (naming card not found in library) or Tainted Pact, flipping your entire deck into exile and winning the game. Since Thassa's Oracle and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries are so efficient, I recently cut Laboratory Maniac from the list altogether.

To secure the win, this list (like most others) features a full counterspell suite (13 in all!), early/mid game card draw enchantments (Mystic Remora, Rhystic Study), card denial combos such as Notion Thief/Narset, Parter of Veils + Wheel of Fortune/Windfall, various tutor effects represented in each color, and the iconic powerhouse effects from Ad Nauseam and Necropotence

Notable Inclusions

Praetor's Grasp: In the possible case of both Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Thassa's Oracle being exiled, a potential double Praetor's Grasp can be utilized to steal a similar win-con from an opponent's deck. Free or cheap disruption is another great target for Praetor's Grasp, greatly increasing your protection when you attempt to go off. My meta is heavy with other Midrange Ad Nauseum decks that run consult lines, so this card has put in a surprising amount of mileage (including a win secured with 2 hidden copies of Force of Will).

Dockside Extortionist: With access to Grixis colors, Dockside Extortionist gives us some crucial ramp to compete with recent cEDH staples such as Smothering Tithe, and the mana dorks green decks tend to run. With access to the bounce/reanimate effects of Into the Roil, Chain of Vapor, and Unearth, combined with the recursion aspect of Kess, Dissident Mage, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  , and Yawgmoth's Will, we can potentially get several iterations of Dockside Extortionist's ETB effect.

Mind's Desire: As one of the most enjoyable win-cons of this deck's earlier 50-75% iterations, it again finds a home after Dockside Extortionist's inclusion. With the ability to create an explosive mana pool with Dockside Extortionist and rituals + Yawgmoth's Will, setting up suitable storm cards from Praetor's Grasp, and the deck in general having a very low mana curve, Mind's Desire has the potential to hit storm count 6-10 at a very consistent level, with storm count 8+ being the ideal goal.
