This was originally built around the shell of brood keeper + dragon mantle + crucible of fire, which I thought was a pretty interesting way to cheaply (both money- and mana- wise) get a 5/5 flyer by turn 5 in mono red. However, only having those as the ways to win seemed slow by red aggro standards, and really vulnerable to disruption. To add an early game presence, I added an akroan crusader package (which nicely synergizes with the auras for the brood keeper), while not hitting me in the curve when I need to be playing the 'keepers, and the dragon hatchlings, because who doesn't want a 3/4 flyer with firebreathing for 2? Late game is run by the stormbreaths. Even though this deck was made with a $100 deck challenge in mind (the mutavaults are an "after the competition suggestion), the rest of the deck was so cheap that 4 stormbreaths could still be added no trouble, which really ups the power level.
For sideboard choices: it looks weird, I know, but hear me out: the new (1)(G) enchantment sweeper that all the green decks are running in the side is an absolute killer against this. If they hit your crucible(s), madcap skills, or really anything it's gg. The sideboard transitions the deck into a sligh build (change the creatures out for some of the enchantment, brood keepers, and hatchlings, and you have a kinda top heavy sligh with the stormbreaths), it's workable, but not ideal. The pre-board deck deals 20+ consistently between turns 4-6, 7 on the high end and after that it probably doesn't matter because you've lost.
Please leave comments and suggestions! I'm probably going to be running this post M15, pre Khans, so if there's any other synergies I can add I'd love to hear them, thanks for looking!
