Grixis Delver

Modern

Kakugane_LXX

This is a Grixis Delver deck. It's a very fast-paced deck that can combo for a turn 2 Tasigur, the Golden Fang. The main creatures to get to the win are Delver of Secrets  , Tasigur, the Golden Fang, and Gurmag Angler. Using fetch lands, Serum Visions, Gitaxian Probe, and Thought Scour make it very easy to load your graveyard for any Delve cards. Some burn spells such as Lightning Bolt and counter magic like Remand and Mana Leak are in there to make sure the deck runs smoothly as well as helping with Young Pyromancer. The deck is half instant /sorcery cards so flipping a Delver of Secrets   is very easy and Snapcaster Mage is very strong because of it.

Two very powerful early game combos are turn one Delver of Secrets   followed by a turn 2 Serum Visions if it did not already flip, or turn one crack a fetch land and cast Thought Scour targeting yourself to mill 2 cards and then turn two play a land and Tasigur, the Golden Fang. While any second land works for this, a fetch land is preferable due to the extra graveyard loading before casting the Tasigur, the Golden Fang on top of having the potential for keeping an open mana available to burn or counter something on your opponent's turn. This is made easier also if you have Gitaxian Probe as it is another card for your graveyard but it also gives you the hand knowledge so that you can play around your opponents hand and not walk straight into a trap.

Some very big cards to watch out for when attempting an early game Tasigur, the Golden Fang (also in general but especially when going for the early game) are Vapor Snag and Remand because you have likely devoted to loading your graveyard for casting him already. The denial of him early game when you have no graveyard left after casting can take a couple turns to recover from. Another card that I have discovered can be a nuisance to the deck is Disrupting Shoal because your turn 1 can effectively be shut down by it. Disrupting Shoal does not really bother Tasigur, the Golden Fang very much, but it does take care of most of your other creatures and any removal since the large majority of the deck is converted mana cost 2 or less.
