The goal of this deck is to do something fun and a little different in standard. It has some holes, a big one being that there is a lot of enchantment/artifact hate in M15. Can't wait to play test.
You want to be able to Ensoul Artifact on either an Ornithopter or a Darksteel Citadel by turn two. A 5/5 flying or indestructible that early is nothing to scoff at.
Another plan is to convoke in
Scuttling Doom Engine
with the
Chief Engineer
paired with a
Generator Servant
, giving it haste. Swing in for 6, sac it with Shrapnel Blast, inflicting 6 damage with SDEs ability, and deal 5 to the face. That ads up to 17 total damage somewhere around turn 4. Pretty powerful.
Illusory Angel
can easily be played in conjunction with Ornithopter.
The Phyrexian Revoker is in to protect against walkers or any other annoying creatures with abilities. Can be ensouled in a pinch.
I was told by a friend that Springleaf Drum would do well in this deck, but I don't really understand why... If anyone has any insight id appreciate it.
Sideboard:
Negate comes in against enchantment or artifact removal to protect Ensoul Artifact.
Anger of the Gods comes in against aggro. Maybe
Perilous Vault
as well. I'm mainly using it because I have a foil copy and its sweet.
Two more Phyrexian Revoker to come in against mono black or mono green. Probably esper control as well. Pesky elspeth...
Voyage's End
can come in againt midrange for tempo plays.
Any side boarding suggestions would be helpful.
