Maralen doesn't like the normal rules of the game, she just likes to let people play how they want, for a price anyway.

Players can't draw and instead they get to tutor anything they want or need for the measly cost of 3 life. Well as long as they have cards in their hand, nothing can go wrong for them. It's not like black has any punishment for people who hold a lot of value for the cards in their hand. Maralen just wants people to have fun and pay her for her services. As long as you keep up with the payments, she will let you have your fun.
